The Source said their tables were all full due to some pre-release called "Arch-Enemy," (man, I hate those guys) and so I'll be hosting again next week, noon Sunday the 20th.

Mouse Guard, Legos of the Gods, and possibly Carcassone or something.

Speaking of Lego of the Gods--good news, I do have a copy. Of course, if those of us who are speaking with Lee on a regular basis can get a more updated copy, that's fine,
but I do have one, huzzah.
  1.

I tossed Lee a whisper on Story Games, but haven't heard back from him. I don't own a tarot deck, I assume one of you does? Mouse Guard is longer than I remember. :) See you tomorrow.

    And so we played!

Thank you Eric for hosting and running today.

Our next session is July 18th
  2.

Making mice was fun. Playing seemed a bit truncated, but I think we'll get our stride quickly.

So are we on for this Sunday? And where are we playing?

Oh snap, totally forgot to schedule the place.

Well, I can host again this week. Mouse Guard, doors open at noon!

  3.

I'm not sure I'll be able to make time to review IAWA. I'll still try to do so, but I might come prepared for something else instead. Just as a warning.

  4.

The fox should have targeted one team of mice.

See this thread (Post 20 is the first clear explanation, but you might need the whole thread to provide context. It's interesting that Luke acts like it's entirely self-evident in the rules that you target one team as opponent instead of attacking the entire other side.)

So are we meeting this Sunday? And if so, where?
  5.

I'm sure Eric remembered last Wednesday to sign up for a table...right? :)

Also, I'll be prepared for IAWA if we want to get to that. I meant to write up our world-building and then segue into a collaborative custom oracle-generation thingy, but I didn't (and won't) get to it in time.

Dammit! I missed last wednesday because of scheduling conflicts and didn't remember this meant I should have just called them. I missed this wednesday because I've been ill since tuesday. I'm hopefully on the upswing, I'll call the Source right now.

Oh, hey all! Yeah, I reserved the table for Aug 1st, Noon to 6pm at the Source. See you all there!

  6.

Wow! Whenever I've done it over the phone, they needed to get back to me in a couple days and then they only call back about half the time. Thanks for taking care of it!

    running late, 30min~, omw now

  7.

Eric, during the conflict with the crows, did you intend from the beginning that it would be narrated out over the course of a longer period of time? Did you say something to that effect? I picked that idea up from your narration between rounds, but I hadn't thought of it before that.

Everyone else, did you think that was the deal?

If that was the intent, I'd have been narrating differently if I'd grokked that it wasn't a straight-up fight.

Actually, yeah, my original idea was for them to do hit and run harassment over the course of your journey, do tricky things like steal a bag and dump it in a river, drop stuff from above, ruin the path, etc. I like what we got, but I guess next time if I want to stick with my guns I'll try being more upfront about the type of conflict.

I thought I had misheard Eric about it being a conflict that lasted over the entire journey, once the conflict turned up to be a straight-on conflict.

I thought it was a straight up fight. I think if we wanted it to be more of a running fight, we probably should've gone with Chase, or something like that for the conflict.

Is our next session Sunday? (the 29th).

I may or may not be able to make it--it will be a "Game day" decision. Its my friend's birthday, but if we are doing anything, I haven't been told yet.

    Yeah, the 29th.

I will be there today after all...
  9.

And we finished our tour of duty...

  10.

Also, according to this thread, you choose your target team after you announce your move for the phase. It doesn't appear that you're supposed to program that part of it. Also, did we properly account for teams helping each other instead of launching multiple actions? (I don't think so.)
