Due to this thread on Story Games we have one (for now) new member. Welcome to IndieMN, Charlie!

  2.
Thanks, Christopher. Happy to be here, and hopefully meet some of you all in the future.

EDIT: (Hell, I'll throw some of this out there)

A bit about myself, and what I am interested in.

Currently, I live in the Uptown/Whittier area of Minneapolis, and work over near the St Paul campus of the U of M.

Gamewise, I am currently running a Houses of the Blooded game, and playing (very sporadically) in a 4e Eberron game. I also occassionally play Descent (just got the first expansion), Warhammer, and Hordes. The indie games I have played the most are Dread/Spite, Burning Wheel, Sorcerer, and Mouse Guard. I have played a few one-shots of some others, and have quite a collection of them.

My other hobbies include writing music, and performing with my band, the Butcher's Bag, which was included on the mix that came with Joe McDonald's RPG called Ribbon Drive. I am also working on a few game design projects.

Hello! I'm Eric, I've played one or two games of PTA, Dogs in the Vineyard, Capes, 3:16, Shock:, and Shadows Over Yesterday. I'm currently GMing a Shadows Over Yesterday game organized here, and a D&D4 game with another group.

    I'm the tall one.

    Hi there,

I'm Ian (Gleja being the alias I tend to us on gaming sites). Mpls resident, relative newcomer to RPGs. My weekly group (which I sometimes run) mostly sticks to 3.5 D&D/Pathfinder, but my interest tends more towards games not built around tactical combat.

I have a big stack of games that I'd like to try: DitV, Fiasco, Mouseguard, SotC, Diaspora, etc. Hope to meet you all soon.

Hello, Gleja! We're next meeting Sunday the 30th around noon to 6pm at the Source; we're playing a game called Vox which is based on the PDQ ruleset. The games you list are ones I'm interested in myself! We'll probably be playing Vox for a few sessions; we don't really have a set plan beyond "Hey let's try this," and I think the talk was after Vox to possibly try Shock:, but nothing's set in stone.

If you want to say hi and meet us, best times would be close to either noon or after five, since between then hopefully the game will be in swing. If you're interested in joining us to play (Vox is pretty procedurally straightforward, in my opinion, easy to pick up) there's a thread below that gives the basic idea of the game. I'm sure you'd be welcome to give it a try (though I'm not the one running it, so I can't guarantee how seamless unprepared insertion of new players would go!). If you want to just watch us play and ask questions, that's fine too.

    Regards,
    Mule

Sweet! Thanks for introducing yourself Ian. I just realized that I admitted you without posting to this thread so I popped in to do so and find that you've been proactive. Like Eric said, welcome to the site. Of the things you list above, I'd particularly like to play the first three.

I ran a game of Dogs for some of these guys a few years ago but it felt flat to me and I gave up. I'd like to give it a go as player sometime.
